Worland Youth Cabin
Use Agreement and Liability Release
Who this covers
This agreement covers everyone with your group during your reservation at the Worland Youth Cabin (“WYC”) —leaders, adult chaperones, volunteers, and minors (“Participants”). The Authorized Leader confirms: (1) required parent permissions/medical info for minors are on file with your group, and (2) adult chaperones meet your group’s screening/training rules.
Key risks & safety
The cabin is in the mountains. Risks include uneven ground, weather (snow/ice), wildlife/insects, tools and fire pits, water activities, bunk beds and stairs, stoves and cooking, and mountain driving, among others. By signing, your group accepts these risks, including injuries that could result from ordinary negligence by WYC staff/volunteers.
Health & emergencies
Cell service can be limited and response times delayed. In an emergency, your group is responsible for related costs. WYC does not provide health/accident insurance.
Property & rules
Use the cabin, furnishings, tools, appliances, and fire features with care. Return the place in good condition. Your group will pay for damage caused during your stay and follow posted rules about fire safety, cleaning, trash, quiet hours, occupancy, etc.
Liability release & indemnity
To the fullest extent allowed by Wyoming law, your Group/Organization releases and waives claims against the Worland Youth Cabin, its owners, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, insurers, landowners/lessors, donors, and affiliates for injuries, illness, death, or property damage connected to your stay or related activities, including claims alleging ordinary negligence. Your group will defend and indemnify these parties against claims arising from your group’s acts, omissions, or rule violations.
Law & venue; entire agreement
Wyoming law governs. Disputes go to courts in Big Horn County, WY (or the U.S. District of Wyoming). This is the whole agreement. Changes must be in writing and signed by WYC. Electronic signatures are valid.
